Reusing Laminate Flooring - Not just a Recycle Craft Project

Laminate Floors - recycle, use in a smaller room.
A reason to feel good about buying laminate flooring is that it is a reusable. You could pass it on to your kids, sell it on Craigslist or donate it to a Habitat Restore. Tongue in groove glueless "click" floating floors are the easiest flooring for dismantling for re-use in a smaller room. After all, it is rare for an entire floor to show wear. Even after the 20 year warranty some boards will show traffic patterns and most will not.

To remove a laminate floor, begin at the last board that was installed. Take it out a row at a time in a gentle but firm manner. Be careful not to chip the boards while stacking and moving them; protect the edges. This is also the flooring for you if there is a need to get under the floor - to access pipes or computer wiring for example.

Plan ahead to reuse & recycle - buy Laminate Flooring. At Carpets Plus Wisconsin you will find laminates by Mannington, Shaw, Armstrong, Quick-Step and Alloc
